History

Peterborough Bearings began its journey of providing bearings, v-belts, seals and other power transmission products to Farmers and Industrial accounts of the Peterborough and surrounding area communities back in 1954. The company’s 1st location was at 230 Water St and remained at this location for 22 years.

By 1977 Peterborough Bearings had become legendary for its comprehensive inventory and knowledgeable staff. The business outgrew the Water St location and moved to 116 Lansdowne St W. where it remains today.

The building and business underwent a major renovation in 1996 to once again increase the size of the store so that even more inventory could be added to better serve its customers. The cutting edge architecture used in the renovation was recognized by the Peterborough Chamber of Commerce in 1997 by awarding Peterborough Bearings a Citation of Merit award.

Today

Fast forward to the present day and you will find that Peterborough Bearings is still at the corner of Lock & Lansdowne Streets directly across the road from the Peterborough Memorial Centre.

The philosophy of keeping a large inventory on hand at all times has never been more true than today. Peterborough Bearings is revered as the place to go to receive outstanding customer service and as our slogan says "Customer satisfaction...Our mission since 1954!"
